It all started with one simple Facebook status after the announcement That Oxegen would be taking a year break : "Well Oxegen may be off the cards For 2012 but never fear I'm setting up my Own festival - Carbon Dioxide !
Imagine A Big Field In Glenade with a Few Speakers . Few DJs . Campsite . . Get a few Radio stations down and Be Grand . . 12-15 July 2012 ". . .This "Joke" status Received 106 likes and a Facebook Page Was set up , In Just over a week The page was "liked" By over 200 People , Someone approached David in the nightclub and said something that put His Mind on the right track - "You know at first I said - Jesus that David Fella is an awful gobshite , but then I thought to myself , This could actually work , Its possible , This so called Joke just became a Plan - A 3 day festival in 6 months - impractical - But Not A One day Event and The Carbon Dioxide Festival was Born

We are a One - Day Electronic Dance Music Event in Glenade , Co.Leitrim Running on The Sunniest day of the year July 14th . . Our line-up will consist All of DJs from throughout Ireland . Acts will Be announced March 16th just in time for Ireland's biggest Session of the year .
